A few months ago the date for the ordination to the deaconate of Richard Charlwood was set for 16th March 2014. Unfortunately Bishop Peter will not be able to travel on that date. The ordination will now take place one week earlier on 9th March, the first Sunday of Lent.
Bishop Peter will be accompanied by Fr. Brian Kelty of Melbourne. The ordination which will take place at the Parish of St John the Baptist at 20 Ferguson St, Maylands W.A.
Richard is a teacher of Indonesian. His passion and hobby is icon painting. He is one of Australia’s finest. He leads the parish through his work as a cantor and now a co-ordinator of our church’s 2020 program.
