We continue our program and would like to present you a schedule for April.

Holy Scripture leads us to God and opens the way to knowledge of God.

St. John Chrysostom

We propose to you a program of the reading of the Holy Scripture for the year.

By doing this a few minutes each day during the year, we will read the whole New Testament. Every week in the Parish bulletin you can find the schedule of the readings for a week.

First of all we encourage you to read the Bible together with your family. Please find below a daily schedule to read the Holy Scripture together as a family or privately a bit at a time.

Structure:

1.       Light a candle
2.      Sit and be in quite for 2-3 minutes
3.      Then read a prayer:

Make the pure light of Your Divine knowledge shine in our hearts, О loving Master. Open the eyes of our minds that we may understand the message of Your gospel. Instil in us the fear of Your blessed commandments that we may subdue all carnal desires and follow a spiritual way of life, thinking and doing all that pleases You. For You, О Christ our God, are the enlightenment of our souls and bodies, and we give glory to You, together with Your eternal Father and Your most holy, good, and life-giving Spirit, now and for ever and ever. Amen.

4.      Then read a passage from the New Testament (according to the schedule)
