The hall was full of children and adults. Those present greeted St. Nicholas with His favourit song “Who loves St. Nicholas?”. St. Nicholas then asked the children to sing more carols. They did so with joy. He then asked the obvious question. Have you behaved yourself this past year? He also asked some of the adults present if they had behaved? They answered that they did, but still, none of them received any gifts from him.

It seems that he shouldn’t have asked the children or adults about their behaviour because St. Nicholas normally does not judge anyone. He, as a true Chirstian loves everyone equally, the good and the bad. That is what he does and always has done. We are to follow his example. He is an icon of Christ. Loving all is central to our Christian faith and is the true meaning of Christmas.

We all love St. Nicholas and are already waiting for his visit next year.
