It has been a very big year for the Victorian Plast Youth Organization. Attendance has been up and by very large numbers. The organizers of Plast must be congratulated.
There were 212 members of Plast registered for the camp where the leadership ran very successful programs for the participants. On open day the camp was boosted by extra 70 visitors where together they celebrated and gave thanks to God for the New Year and prayed for all those who were going through tough times with the bush fires raging in Australia.

Fr Andriy Mykytyuk was the fulltime chaplain for the camp this year. He made a big contribution the camp life. He led a lot of the singing and held religious discussions with all age groups.
Bishop Peter, introduced the newly arrived Fr Iurii Tychenok and his family on New Year’s day. The clergy lead the “Moleben” service. The “Yalinka” was held on that day as well.
Bishop Peter and Fr Andriy planted a “Tree of Peace” by the gate of the camp beside the monument of Taras Shevchenko. This is an initiative of our Patriarch Sviatoslav. He asked all Ukrainians to plant a “Tree of Peace” as a reminder to pray for peace in Ukraine and around the world. The plaque read, “This Plaque commemorates 70 years of Plast in Victoria in 2019, together with the UGCC, “Plant a tree of Peace” campaign. Presented by Bishop Peter Stasiuk C.SsR, DD and Father Andriy Mykytyuk 1 January 2020 “
