Dear faithful of the Melbourne Eparchy!
Every year, on 26 June, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church celebrates the day of the laity. The laity is the church and the church, as a good mother, gathers her children to again and again remind them of their important role and strengthen them with its prayers. The Laity’s Role is to sanctify the world and help build the Kingdom of Heaven in those environments, where they live.

Dear Laity! Your mission, as the faithful of the Melbourne Eparchy is exceptionally great and important to the whole of our church.
Therefore, I want to thank each and everyone of you for your work, support and assistance in building the UGCC in Australia. I look forward to meeting you all at the earliest so that we can work together for the salvation of souls.
The Lord’s blessings upon you,
