Very many parishioners and guests gathered to celebrate the Birth of Christ on the 7th of January 2015. Bishop Peter led the Liturgy along with the parish administrator Rev. Andriy Mykytyuk, and Rt. Rev. Olexander Kenez and newly arrived from Ukraine Rev. Ivan Mysiv.
Deacons Edward Kostraby and Justin McDonald led the petitions. The choir Director Volodymyr Holowko conducted our world renowned choir, which sung the responses beautifully.
Bishop Peter in his homily welcomed all and invited the Eparchy to participate in Vision 2020, (Vibrant parish) program. There will be a Partriarchal Sobor of the church in Ivano-Frankivsk on August 25-28, 2015. All the eparchies will be represented there. We will be having our own eparchial sobor. This sobor will be a preparation for the Patriarchal Sobor. It will be held in Melbourne on the weekend of the 25th-26th of April.
