On Sunday, 26th February 2017, Bishop Peter made the trip taking a car over on the Spirit of Tasmania.
Normally Fr. Justin McDonnell visits the Hobart parish on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. Divine Liturgy is held at 10:00 am.
In his remarks during Diving Liturgy, Bishop Peter remarked how well the congregational sang. There also is a very efficient sanctuary server. The parish is settling into a regular routine which is very important in any parish.

The Tasmanian community has established a routine in that there is a BBQ lunch on the fourth Sunday of each month. This gathers the community for celebration. There is music, song, and even dance. Ukrainian dance classes now take place at 1:30 pm on Sundays.

It was particularly pleasant to see the oldest couple in their 90s, doing a duet together. Mr and Mrs Prus are the pioneers of the parish. God has continued to bless them with relatively good health. They rarely miss church and community events.
Bishop Peter remarked “just like Rodyna”, referring to the recent trip to Hobart by the famous Melbourne group, when a large group of the parishioners got up for a few songs accompanied by a guitar.
May God continue to bless our parish in Hobart.
