On Sunday 7th December 2014 we had the privilege of sharing this joyous occasion with Daniel Black, Joshua Jones, Jake Basheer, Tayla Lipkiewicz and Oliver Lipkiewicz.

Daniel, Joshua, Jake ,Tayla and Oliver made their first Holy Confession and on Sunday participated in their first solemn Holy Communion watched proudly by their parents, grandparents, family members, friends ,guests and parishioners. The Liturgy was officiated by Father Taras Gorpynyak and Father Deacon Wolodymyr Demchinsky. The children were assisted by Vira Mykyta and Natalia Holian during the Liturgy.

The children very happily and confidently took part in the Liturgy by reading and responding. They were taught to do this over several weeks by Father Deacon Wolodymyr and he taught them about the importance of participating in Confession and Holy Communion.

At the end of the Liturgy the children were given certificates, rosary beads and icons by Father Taras and Father Deacon Wolodymyr.

Daniel, Joshua, Jake, Tayla and Oliver then went to the Church hall to share in a celebratory cake and the traditional singing of Mnohaya Lita by all present.

The day was a very festive, happy and joyous occasion enjoyed by everyone present.
