With the blessing of Bishop Mykola Bychok, Eparch of Melbourne for Ukrainians in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Easter Sunday, according to the Gregorian calendar. After the Sunday service, the local Ukrainian community organized a joint celebration in the park, where those present shared the Paschal dishes.
During these days, the faithful had the opportunity to go to Holy Confession, have spiritual conversations with the Father, and also have the Father bless their homes during family visits.
Special thanks to Most Reverend Charles Gauci, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Darwin, for his facilitation of the mission, family reception, and care for our mission in Darwin.
These visits were highly anticipated by the faithful who have lived in Darwin for many years, and were a special experience for those who moved to Australia during the active phase of the war. People expressed great gratitude for the Father’s visit and hope that such visits will be more frequent.
